It is a very small and handy charger. I don't know why in the picture it has a power cable since the charger plug-in type.

What to say about a battery charger? ,

It does the job and is a low profile device. I never like charging anything "in camera" because I don't like to leave my camera out and about, tethered to a cord plugged into my wall. This charger makes it easier to keep things "neat" as well as permits charging one battery while using the camcorder (assuming you have a spare battery).

This charger works well. Since the prongs fold into the charger body it is easy to pack when you travel.
