I highly recommend the small speculum to my patients who have young daughters who are *not sexually active.* The larger speculum is not suited for young women who haven't reproduced. I've heard too many horror stories from women about cervical exams which were horribly painful and medical personnel who were rough and uncaring. We should save our own daughters from this by bringing the smaller speculum to the exam and insisting it be used instead of the larger speculum.There is never a need to use a larger speculum when the smaller ones work just as well. DRs will often argue this point because they can't be bothered to stock sizes and have little or no compassion at times. Our body parts come in small, medium and large. All of them. End of discussion. I highly suggest this product, (in any size suitable), to all women. And I hope that people will read this and realize that we have control over...
