They are a little cheaper on Amazon.com. In the package, there was a $1.00 off coupon, so I'll save if I buy them locally next time around. I also ordered these on Amazon.com for $8 as shown here. These are a great solution for those with foot problems including arthritic toes, bunions, hammer toes, etc. I have all three of these problems so I am really pleased that these are available. I tried them out with low heeled shoes and the only problem was that they did show somewhat. Supposedly you can trim them down, but I wouldn't want to cut off the finished edge. I wore them in a pair of Payless Comfort Plus clogs and they worked very well and they were not visible at all. The other advantage to these cushioning shoe pouches is that they allow you to wear shoes that otherwise would feel too tight in the toe area and would cause chafing otherwise. They're padded in all the right places, especially the bunion area. However, I had to cut them to fit the shoes I bought them for. So, they're probably not made for pumps that are cut close to the toe. Ballet slippers, tennis shoes, loafers...probably work with no re-sizing. I knew I should have bought them, but I kept leaving them on the shelf.I got home home to Australia where I was wearing ballet flats - I knew what I needed. So, I purchased these from Amazon.You cannot buy these in Australia - they don't exist! They are ultra comfy, the edges of these little beauties doesn't show, easy to use and my feet have greater staying power wearing a pair of these pouches all day. You just slip them over your toes OR put them in your shoe and slip your toes in. They also help fill out the very point of the shoe, so it doesn't crease, pucker and your toe doesn't hit the top of the shoe. Also great for the little folk in your life who may tread on your toes - like mine do. Doesn't hurt now! I don't wear high heels so, I can't really comment on their effectiveness as far as that goes. |
