It has the floating cape back so beneficial in steamy weather. The collar stays put (both lapels and behind the neck) and looks decent, without need of hold-down buttons. The twin flapped chest pockets are large enough for a 3x5 notebook and some other stuff, plus a pen or two with pocket clips - and the flaps still fold down and stay down. The flaps have a single small patch of velcro, the same color as the shirt, to help keep them shut.Note that the "Black Night" color is not black but a very dark blue, and very attractive indeed.
