It works and fits as advertised. Its a bit snug but relaxed around the waist. Certainly not tight or restrictive. It has pretty good wind blocking in chilly weather. But you'll want to layer up if used in cold weather (under say 40 degs). I thought the small number of pockets would be a potential problem. But its hasn't been an issue so far. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful By Mike Cannone (Southern California) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: GORE BIKE WEAR Men's Balance Jacket (Apparel) I was looking for an all-purpose jacket to wear for both road and mountain biking. I tried one from another mfg. that was just OK. The REI jackets were more like skirts in the back - too long - didn't like the Novaras at all. The Gore jacket costs appreciably more than some brands but the fit and quality are top notch. I'd buy this one again but I think it's going to last quite a while longer. It seems to breathe well, is rain resistant, holds the heat and has access to rear pockets of your jersey. Perfect for me. Very pleased with it. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: GORE BIKE WEAR Men's Balance Jacket (Apparel) I've had this jacket for about a year and it really makes cool weather rides enjoyable. The front pocket is nice for a phone or gel packet. I use it up to about 65 degrees and just wear a short sleve jersey. The coldest ride was a damp Jan ride in Portland and with a long sleeve jersey I was just right in 34 degrees for over an hour. I can't think of how to improve on the design. |
