Cupping is an ancient Chinese method of causing local congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. Massage is one of the most helpful therapies for me, but I can't afford to pay for many professional massages. My husband will sometimes massage me, but he complains that his hands hurt because it takes so much pressure to get into my knots. The cup massage gives a good massage (it feels different from trigger point massage, but seems to get the blood moving and breaks up the spasm). Be very careful of how much suction you use, my husband gave me a huge blood blister the first time we used it.This cupping set seems well built and comes with more than enough cups to last a long while. I like everything else about them, but couldn't use several of them. The company replaced my set, but the second set is doing the same thing. Now I have a set with some cups that I cannot use because they won't hold a seal and do their job of MFR. I wrote the company a few days ago, but did not get a reply yet. I'm pretty sure I will have to purchase a different set from another company unless this company has a set that is more durabable.These cups are not recommended nor is their customer service. DO NOT BUY THEM. |
