I bought it because it was longer than other reachers, and we intend to use it primarily to help us reach items that are just a little out of our reach.Sometimes people think reachers are just for people with back problems, but that's not true. We wish we would have bought this sooner, when my wife was pregnant with our two children. It would have been GREAT for that, since bending over is sometimes difficult (so I've been told) when you're pregnant. The length of the reacher allows a person to easily reach items on the floor without having to bend over, and this reacher can pick up lots of even tiny things with ease. We actually bought this for use now because sometimes our baby throws the pacifier out of the crib and it lands behind it. The nursery is small, so it's hard to move furniture in there. The positive reviews for the Ez2care Reacher were encouraging. I ordered and received the product promptly and safely packed for shipping. I LOVE IT! It is sturdy, easy to operate, and has good gripping power. The tip is narrow enough to fit into small spaces, but opens enough to grasp objects up to about 6" wide. There are teeth of varying size on the tip, too, which help with picking up items almost as with tweezers; but the teeth aren't sharp, so they won't scratch or tear things.
