It obviously has no educational value but it was not purchased for that reason. Durability is not known. The only weak spot on these toys is the wheel/axle configuration. They are built to have a lot of motion and flexibility. This will be the problem area if any occurs. Any kid rating this toy would give it a 5 star rating. Putting it down is the only hard thing for him to do.
