I had to replace 3 other pairs that my son outgrew and/or wore out. He loves them, because they look 'cool' but I like that they are sturdy shoes, and will LAST. He wore out his last pair, to the point that they were falling apart, but he was rough on them, and it still took a while, it was nearly a year of almost daily wearing. The laces are a bit short, so it can be tough for littler kids to tie them...if you look up how to straight lace them online, you can avoid the problem all together, or you can just pick up some longer laces at the store. I like that these even held up to the washing machine (my son came home CAKED in mud!). They look fantastic, brand new again! They're comfortable for him, but they do seem to require a 'breaking in' period, and can run slightly small (there's lots of padding inside, so they're a snug fit).
