I can tell you that you have to becareful what you read as there are "Product Reviews" out there that are put out there by the companies selling bad products. You can tell this because the reviews will show the product to be bad and excellent at the same time (depending on what you read and from who).Do your research and weight your evaluation based on what is important to you. Read BLOGs by runners... Marathon'ers are a good source of info since running "is their life". People that have bought equipment also tend to recommend what they have bought--good or bad--they are still trying to convience themselves they made the right purchase. Then it took me around 4 1/2 hours to put it together. It wasn't the directions that was hard to understand, it was just twisting in the screws and moving the treadmill around that took so long. The treadmill is extremely heavy and I put it together by myself. I do suggest you have a friend or significant other help. But since the treadmill is so heavy, it feels sturdier. After putting my treadmill together, I was excited to start using it. I'm a 5'5" female and weigh 130 lbs, but the treadmill is a nice size and sturdy enough that I think it can easily accommodate heavier and taller runners. This product is a true lemon. We have had various problems with it since it arrived - belt slipping, damaged sideboards, and electrical problems (burning smell right before blowing circuit breakers in our home that began after a service call by your contractor). The treadmill shipped to us has never been in fully operational condition since we received it over six months ago, and the damage caused to our home has actually cost us money! We are unwilling to spend any more time/aggravation/money trying to refurbish this defective treadmill. We paid $1899 for a product that should have been in perfect working order when it arrived to us. This particular treadmill is of unacceptable quality. If this purchase could have been returned to a store, it would have gone back within the first week.This faulty product has caused damage to our home.
