There are really no two ways about it. I love timepieces, and I always have since I was 12 or 13 years old. You'll never find me without a watch on my wrist or in my pocket. If I had a lottery windfall I would surely head to the nearest high-end watch boutique to do some heavy damage. I think a Patek Philippe and/or a Jaeger-LeCoultre would certainly be in order. However, the reality check is that I don't have that kind of money, and I can't drop $20,000 on a watch. Despite its diminutive price tag in comparison, the Cartier watch I purchased was a splurge for me, a splurge I've waited and squirreled away money to purchase for many years.
